Day 71: Monochrome Mornings at Loves Bay

At the first whisper of dawn, I found myself at Loves Bay, Kiama, eager to greet the day with my lens and capture the serene ballet of waves over rugged rocks. The warm embrace of the morning sun served as my spotlight, illuminating the chaotic dance of water upon the shore.

 Perched upon a solitary rock, I watched through my viewfinder as the ocean performed its timeless routine. Frame after frame, the rising sun continued its ascent, painting the sky in shades of awakening.

 It was during the quiet moments of post-production that a monochrome vision of the bay emerged, striking in its simplicity. Stripping away the colours revealed a raw intensity—a stark contrast between the fluidity of the sea and the steadfastness of stone. The monochromatic palette lent a timeless quality to the scene, highlighting textures and movements that colour often overshadows.
