My journey as an Australian landscape photographer is deeply rooted in my connection to the coastal and countryside landscapes of the South Coast of NSW, Australia. My love for the natural environment blossomed in my early 20s when I discovered a passion for photography, a medium through which I could express my appreciation for the beauty and complexity of the world around me.
Having grown up in Gerringong, my background in dairy farming significantly influenced my artistic perspective. My affinity for the night sky and the enchanting colors of dawn and dusk are evident in my work, showcasing a unique blend of rural and coastal influences. These experiences have contributed to my ability to capture the nuances of natural elements.
My photography is characterised by a meticulous attention to detail and a profound understanding of the interplay between light, colour, and texture. My images reflect a genuine passion for preserving the fleeting moments of beauty that surround us, emphasising the importance of appreciating the world’s natural wonders.
As a photographer, I’m not content with the status quo. I continually explore new techniques and experiment with various forms of expression, pushing the boundaries of what is achievable in the realm of photography. This dedication to innovation reflects my unwavering passion for the craft and a commitment to evolving as an artist.
Whether working on commissioned projects or pursuing my own artistic vision, I approach each opportunity with a combination of passion and dedication. My overarching goal is to create images that not only capture the inherent beauty of the natural world but also elicit a sense of wonder and reverence for the world we inhabit. In doing so, I contribute to the dialogue surrounding the importance of preserving and appreciating the environment through the lens of my unique artistic perspective.
