Day 150 of 366: Capturing Aerial Perspectives at Werri Beach

A Beautiful Morning at Werri Beach:

This morning, I returned to Werri Beach, still nursing a sore knee from yesterday’s mishap. To minimize physical strain, I decided to put the drone up and capture some aerial perspectives. The calm, beautiful morning presented the perfect conditions for drone photography, and I was eager to explore new angles and viewpoints.

Exploring with the Drone:

Flying the drone over Werri Beach, I kept an eye out for whales and other interesting perspectives. The top-down shots and sweeping panoramas provided a fresh view of the familiar landscape. The quality of light was exceptional, casting a warm glow over both the land and sea, enhancing the natural beauty of the area.

Capturing the Perfect Shot:

One image, in particular, captured my attention immediately during the editing process. The shot of the pool and headland bathed in the warm morning light stood out. The light accentuated the textures of the rocks and the lush greenery of the headland, creating a striking contrast with the deep blue of the ocean. The composition highlighted the natural beauty of Werri Beach from a unique aerial perspective.

Editing and Reflection:

Back home, I began editing the morning’s shoot. The warm light in the photos brought a vibrant and inviting feel to the images. Adjusting the contrast and saturation helped to emphasize the colours and textures, bringing the scene to life. The final image beautifully showcased the serene morning at Werri Beach, offering a fresh and captivating perspective.

Reflecting on the Experience:

Today’s drone shoot was a reminder of the versatility and creative potential of aerial photography. Despite the physical limitations from my injury, using the drone allowed me to capture stunning images that would have been difficult to achieve otherwise. The experience reinforced the importance of adapting to circumstances and finding new ways to explore and document the beauty of the natural world.
