First Rays

from $330.00

Limited edition of 5

Location: Old Bombo Quarry

Returning to the Old Bombo Quarry this morning, I navigated my way down to one of the two channels where the relentless forces of the ocean had chiselled through the enduring basalt rock. As the sun gracefully ascended to greet the day, I became acutely aware of my fortuitous positioning, strategically aligned to witness and immortalise the first golden beams emerging from the colossal Monteith rock that stoically presided at the water's edge.

The play of light and shadow danced upon the ancient geological canvas, casting an ethereal glow that accentuated the rugged beauty of the surroundings. The juxtaposition of nature's raw forces and the delicate touch of dawn's light created a captivating tableau, a transient masterpiece unfolding before my lens. It was a moment frozen in time, where the interplay of elements orchestrated a symphony of colours and textures, reminding me of the profound beauty woven into the fabric of our natural world.
