Dawn’s Liquid Brushstrokes

from $330.00

Location: Blackhead, Gerroa

Capturing the majestic dance of ocean waves is among my most cherished photographic pursuits. This wave, in particular, was immortalised shortly after the daybreak, at a moment when the sun lingered close to the horizon. The low angle of the sunlight bathed the crest of the wave in a resplendent golden glow, enriching the scene with a warm, amber luminance. I employed a slow shutter speed, a deliberate choice to seize the wave's dynamic range of tones and the intricate textures carved by the water's ceaseless motion. The technique allowed for a visual symphony of movement and light, preserving the wave's transient beauty in a still frame.
