Day 310 of 366: Soaring with the Predators

A Dance on the Wind

Today's venture into the grey skies of Gerringong unfolded into an unexpected ballet of nature. As I scanned the ocean's horizon for signs of the migrating whales—a sight always worth catching—I was drawn to another part of nature's showcase above.

Master of the Skies

Hovering with effortless grace, a bird of prey caught my attention as it soared on the wind. The contrast of its powerful wings against the stark, overcast backdrop was a reminder of the resilience and adaptation of nature's creatures.

The Ocean's Giants Below

Beneath the lofty heights where the eagle patrolled, a pod of whales charted their northward journey, their colossal forms gliding silently through the water, just visible from my vantage point.
