Day 68: A Rosy Greeting

At the break of dawn, the farm was aglow with the gentle hues of sunrise captured through the silent hum of my drone. As I sifted through the morning's harvest of images, the familiar warble of our resident galah broke the tranquillity, drawing me away from the screen and back into the world.

There, perched atop the weathered finial, sat our feathered friend. The overcast skies offered a naturally diffused light, perfect for a high-key portrait that would showcase only its pink and grey splendour against the soft, blank canvas of the sky.

Snapping on the long lens, I framed the galah in simplicity, allowing its vibrant plumage to sing against the monotony of the overcast backdrop. This image isn’t just a snapshot; it's a quiet nod to the daily rituals that define the rhythm of life in the countryside.

Follow the journey with me and meet the creatures that turn ordinary mornings into extraordinary encounters.
