Day 30: Chasing the Light at Boat Harbour, Gerringong

This morning was a game of cat and mouse with the rain showers, as I set out with my drone in hopes of capturing the elusive beauty of the coast. My journey began at Kiama's iconic lighthouse, where the downpour grew too intense, prompting me to seek refuge at Werri Beach. Yet, as fate would have it, the rain followed, leaving me to retreat once more.

But as I crested the hill on my way home, a break in the clouds beckoned. A subtle glow pierced through the greyness, painting the sky with hints of warmth. The showers graciously paused, and seizing the moment, I leapt from the car, drone in hand, ready to take to the skies.

The result was this breathtaking 3-shot vertical panorama of Boat Harbour, Gerringong. The drone soared, capturing the contrast between the verdant foliage, the rugged coastline, and the ocean's infinite blues. In the distance, the sun's rays broke through, a glowing promise in the morning sky.

This image is more than a capture; it's a narrative of persistence and a dance with the elements. It's about seizing opportunities, however fleeting, and the reward of patience after a morning chasing the light. Each shot in the panorama is a testament to the beauty that awaits at the edge of the storm, a reminder that sometimes the most spectacular sights are born from the most unpredictable conditions.
